Master of Ceremonies: Dennis Hyatt. Dennis has kindly given us some notes about the two poems he read:

Written by Wallace McRae, "Reincarnation" is considered one of the most famous and popular pieces of cowboy poetry. I added a few beginning lines to make it Deb's comments about my retirement, but otherwise cribbed it almost wholly as written.

"The Library", which I read as an intro to the Terry McQuilkin and company skit about library fundraising, is an altered version of the poem "The Bridge" by Shel Silverstein. Although I changed words throughout, Silverstein's ideas and key expressions are clearly left intact, including "It will only take you halfway there, the last few steps you must take alone."
