Occasionally, the new volunteers for the various committees (see below)
meet with former officers and
committee members to review the past year's efforts, and to choose
a new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson (if such have not already been identified).
In addition to the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, and Past
Chairperson, each committee selects one representative to serve on the
Executive Council, which meets as needed to discuss LSA business.

Maintains and improves the Knight Library staff lounge, and assists branches
with lounge needs. [Volunteers: Ann Miller (Chair and exec rep]
Plans events for the staff of the UO Libraries, including Gonzo Review. [Volunteers: Elizabeth Duell (previous Chair; stepped down from the committee in January 2012), Jennifer Lindsey, Kate Ball and Tiffany Van Pelt (Chair starting in February 2012)]
Creates and mails flyers/invitations for all LSA functions. Maintains list of
former staff that wish to be invited to LSA events. Updates the LSA events web
page. [Volunteers:Nik Ligett (chair and exec rep; also flyers, events
page & electronic publicity).]
Plans and organizes the Holiday Potluck and the May Tea.
Also provides refreshments for other LSA events as needed. [Volunteers: Patrick Moore (chair and exec rep),
Heghine Hakobyan, Miriam Rigby, Dotti Clegg, Noelle Byun, Sheila Rabun]
Develops LSA's budget, conducts dues drive, raises other funds as needed,
and carries out special projects. [Volunteers: Lisa Sieracki (chair, exec
rep, web updater), Pam DeLaittre--until December (treasurer), Eric
Clark, Marcie Stout (treasurer beginning December), Manuel Balesteri, Kelley McGrath]
Maintains a web site for the Association, and publishes a monthly web-based newsletter.

Welcomes new employees and invites them to join the Library Staff Association.
Maintains and updates an LSA brochure. [Volunteers: Beth Singler (Chair),
Margaret
Bean, Keri Aronson, Lisa Sieracki (Vice Chair), Kaiping Zhang, Lynette Boone, Stephanie Midkiff, Marilyn Mohr]
Deposits dues, pays bills, monitors checking and vending accounts, maintains
petty
cash, reimburses members for LSA expenses, serves on Ways and Means.
