All Volunteers

Each summer, the new volunteers for the various committees (see below) meet with former officers and committee members to review the past year's efforts and choose a new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. Minutes from these meetings are posted on this page.

Executive Council

In addition to the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer and Past Chairperson, each committee selects one representative to serve on the Executive Council, which meets as needed to discuss LSA business. [Volunteers: Chelle Batchelor (Chair), Susan Stumpf (Vice-Chair), Susan Mincks (Past Chair and House), Linda Hodgin (Social), Lisa Sieracki (Ways and Means), Jean Murphy (Program), Linda Zimmerman (Welcome), Lonni Sexton (Web/News)]

Publicity Committee

Creates and mails flyers/invitations for all LSA functions. Maintains list of former staff who wish to be invited to LSA events. [Volunteers: Andrew Howell (mailing list and labels), Duffy Knaus (flyers & events page), Salli-Jo Osborn (electronic publicity)]

House Committee

Maintains and improves the Knight Library staff lounge, and arranges recycling for events. [Volunteers: Susan Mincks (Chair & Exec Rep), Lisa Sieracki (Web), Susan Stumpf]

Social Committee

Plans and organizes the holiday potluck in December and the spring social in May. Also provides refreshments for other LSA events as needed. [Volunteers: Pam DeLaittre, Linda Hodgin (Exec Rep), Stephanie Midkiff,Susan Mincks, Ann Muller (chair), Heather Ward]

Ways and Means Committee

Develops LSA's budget, conducts dues drive, raises other funds as needed, and carries out any special projects that may be assigned to or originated by it. [Volunteers: Susan Mincks, Lisa Sieracki (Chair, Web & Exec Rep), Tamara Vidos]

Program Committee

Plans programs, including the Gonzo Review, and recruits speakers/performers. [Volunteers: Duffy Knaus (Chair), Jean Murphy (Exec Rep), Rose Thomas (Webmistress)]

Welcome Committee

Welcomes new employees and invites them to join the Library Staff Association. Maintains and updates an LSA brochure. [Volunteers: Chelle Batchelor (Chair), Mischa Buczkowski, Sherrie Soleim (Web), Tom Stave, Linda Zimmerman (Exec Rep)]

Web/Newsletter Committee

Maintains a web site for the Association, and publishes a monthly web-based newsletter. [Volunteers: Terry McQuilkin, Lara Nesselroad, Julie Palmer, Lonni Sexton (Chair & Exec Rep)]

Treasurer

Deposits dues, pays bills, monitors checking and vending accounts, maintains petty cash, reimburses members for LSA expenses. [Volunteer: Tamara Vidos]
