Each summer, the new volunteers for the various committees (see below)
meet with former officers and
committee members to review the past year's efforts and choose
a new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. Minutes from these
meetings are posted on this page.
In addition to the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, and Past Chairperson,
each committee selects one representative to serve on the Executive Council,
which meets as needed to discuss LSA business.

Creates and mails flyers/invitations for all LSA functions. Maintains
list of former staff that wish to be invited to LSA events. Updates the
LSA events web page. [Volunteers:

exec rep; also flyers, events page & electronic publicity)]
Maintains and improves the Knight Library staff lounge, and arranges
recycling for events. [Volunteers: Betsy Kelly (web updater), Susan
Mincks (chair and exec rep), Katie Sloan, Brandy Todd]
Plans and organizes the holiday potluck in December and the spring
social in May. Also provides refreshments for other LSA events
as needed. [Volunteers: Megan Dazey (exec rep), Pam DeLaittre, Linda
Hodgin, Betsy Kelly (web updater), Stephanie Midkiff, Susan Mincks, Ann
Muller (chair), Raina Smith]
Develops LSA's budget, conducts dues drive, raises other funds as needed, and
carries out special projects. [Volunteers: Andrew Nicholson (web updater),

Plans programs, including the Gonzo Review, and recruits
speakers/performers. [Volunteers: Stacy De Hart, Lisa Levitt (exec rep,
web updater), David McCallum, Marilyn Mohr, David Peterson (chair)]
Welcomes new employees and invites them to join the Library Staff
Association. Maintains and updates an LSA brochure. [Volunteers:
Paul Frantz (chair), Tom Stave, Linda Zimmerman (exec rep)]
Maintains a web site for the Association, and publishes a monthly
web-based newsletter. [Volunteers: Erik Dahl, Lisa Levitt,
Terry McQuilkin, Lara Nesselroad (chair, and exec rep)
(web updating responsibilities shared)]
Treasurer
Deposits dues, pays bills, monitors checking and vending accounts, maintains petty
cash, reimburses members for LSA expenses. [Volunteer: Pam DeLaittre]
