All Volunteers

Each summer, the new volunteers for the various committees (see below) meet with former officers and committee members to review the past year's efforts and choose a new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. Minutes from these meetings are posted on this page.

Executive Council

In addition to the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, and Past Chairperson, each committee selects one representative to serve on the Executive Council, which meets as needed to discuss LSA business. House Committee

Program Committee

Plans programs, including the Gonzo Review, and recruits speakers/performers. [Volunteers: David McCallum (Chair, exec rep and web updater), Liesl Vorderstrasse, Kaiping Zhang, David Peterson, Marilyn Mohr, Laura Damiani]

Publicity Committee

Creates and mails flyers/invitations for all LSA functions. Maintains list of former staff that wish to be invited to LSA events. Updates the LSA events web page. [Volunteers: Andrew Howell (mailing list and labels), Harriett Smith (chair and exec rep; also flyers, events page & electronic publicity)]

Social Committee

Plans and organizes the holiday potluck in December and the spring social in May. Also provides refreshments for other LSA events as needed. [Volunteers: Raina Smith (chair), Linda Hodgin (exec rep), Megan Dazey, Pam DeLaittre, Diane Haas, Stephanie Midkiff)]

Ways and Means Committee

Develops LSA's budget, conducts dues drive, raises other funds as needed, and carries out special projects. [Volunteers: Lisa Sieracki (chair and exec rep), Dave Baker, Pam DeLaittre, Beth Singler, Donna Pellinger (web updater)]

Web/Newsletter Committee

Maintains a web site for the Association, and publishes a monthly web-based newsletter. [Volunteers: Terry McQuilkin (Chair and exec rep), Laura Damiani, Stacy DeHart, Jennifer Rowan, Harriett Smith (web updating responsibilities shared)]

Welcome Committee

Welcomes new employees and invites them to join the Library Staff Association. Maintains and updates an LSA brochure. [Tom Stave (chair), Donna Pellinger, Jennifer Hufman, Lisa Levitt, Jon Jablonski, Avis Thompson (exec rep) and Katy Lenn]

Treasurer

Deposits dues, pays bills, monitors checking and vending accounts, maintains petty cash, reimburses members for LSA expenses. [Volunteer: Pam DeLaittre]
