University of Oregon Library System
May 4, 2001 MEMORANDUM
Those of you who are new to the library staff may not know about our wonderful Library Staff Association. LSA is YOUR organization - it exists "to promote communication and a spirit of cooperation and fellowship among all library employees." There are plenty of opportunities for you to become involved. LSA puts on a number of annual events, such as the holiday potluck, a spring social, and June's popular "Gonzo Review," which showcases the quirks and talents of our multi-gifted staff. It also publishes a staff newsletter, provides a welcoming and comfortable staff lounge, and maintains a rich web site at http://libweb.uoregon.edu/lsa where you can discover much more about your colleagues than you ever imagined. I encourage supervisors to promote LSA opportunities, and I urge each individual to consider participating in your Library Staff Association. For more information, please contact one of the LSA officers or volunteers, whose names are posted at the above web site. Deb Carver |
