Occasionally, the new volunteers for the various committees (see below)
meet with former officers and
committee members to review the past year's efforts, and to choose
a new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson (if such have not already been identified).
In addition to the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, and Past
Chairperson, each committee selects one representative to serve on the
Executive Council, which meets as needed to discuss LSA business.

Maintains and improves the Knight Library staff lounge, and assists branches
with lounge needs. [Volunteers: Paul Frantz (Chair and exec rep), Tom

Plans programs, including the Gonzo Review, and recruits speakers/performers.

Creates and mails flyers/invitations for all LSA functions. Maintains list of
former staff that wish to be invited to LSA events. Updates the LSA events web

Plans and organizes the Holiday Potluck in December and the May Tea.
Also provides refreshments for other LSA events as needed. [Volunteers:

Develops LSA's budget, conducts dues drive, raises other funds as needed,
and carries out special projects. [Volunteers: Lisa Sieracki (chair, exec
rep, web updater), Jeff Staiger (budget & balance sheet maintainer),
Pam DeLaittre, Jeanie Stunztner (printer of vending account reports), Eric
Clark, Kate Burns]
Maintains a web site for the Association, and publishes a monthly web-based newsletter.

Welcomes new employees and invites them to join the Library Staff Association.
Maintains and updates an LSA brochure. [Volunteers: Beth Singler (Chair) ,

Munro (for PDX)]
Treasurer
Deposits dues, pays bills, monitors checking and vending accounts, maintains
petty
